The English National Opera's production of the classic Leonard Bernstein-Betty Comden-Adolph Green musical On the Town begins performances April 20.

Sean Palmer, who was recently seen on Broadway in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of The Apple Tree, plays Chip in the ENO production, which will play a 20-performance run through May 25.

Broadway actor Sean Palmer, who is playing ‘Chip’ in ENO’s hit production of On the Town, will play the leading role of ‘Prince Eric’ in the forthcoming Broadway production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. 

On the Town returns this Friday (April 20) to the London Coliseum for 20 performances only until May, 25 2007. With a cast and orchestra of 105, it is the biggest musical in London.

Sean Palmer played Stanford Blatch’s boyfriend ‘Marcus’ in seasons 5 and 6 of HBO’s "Sex In The City." His Broadway credits include: The Apple Tree, with Kristin Chenoweth, for Roundabout, Saturday Night Fever (Tony Manero) and Fosse. He also played the lead role of ‘Tony’ in Julie Andrews’ production of The Boy Friend. He appeared in the film version of Chicago for Miramax. Performances of Disney’s The Little Mermaid begin in Denver on July 26 and on Broadway on November 3.

Casting is now complete for the new Disney musical The Little Mermaid, which will begin performances at The Denver Center for the Performing Arts' Ellie Caulkins Opera House July 26 with an official opening Aug. 23.

As previously announced, Sierra Boggess will head the cast in the title role. She will be joined onstage by Sean Palmer as Prince Eric, Norm Lewis as King Triton, Tituss Burgess as Sebastian, Eddie Korbich as Scuttle, Jonathan Freeman as Grimsby, Derrick Baskin as Jetsam, Tyler Maynard as Flotsam, Cody Hanford and J.J. Singleton as Flounder and Sherie Ren・Scott as Ursula.

After its Denver run ends Sept. 9, the musical will arrive at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, current home of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Nov. 3 with an official opening Dec. 6.

The revival of Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick's
1966 musical The Apple Tree ・starring Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, Brian d'Arcy James, Marc Kudisch and Walter Charles ・opens on Broadway Dec. 14.

The Roundabout Theatre Company production rooted at Studio 54 began previews Nov. 29, postponed one day due to an injury Chenoweth sustained during rehearsals.

a new musical about the life and art of Charlie Chaplin by Christopher Curtis.

The cast of BEHIND THE LIMELIGHT features Luther Creek (Rent, Urinetown, Shockheaded Peter) as Charlie; Andrea McArdle (Annie, State Fair, Beauty and the Beast) as gossip columnist, Hedda Hopper; Janet Metz (Marie Christine, Joseph…, Falsettoland) as Charlie’s mother, Hannah and Garrett Long (Spitfire Grill, Seussical) as Oona O’Neill.

Also included in the cast are Brooke Sunny Moriber (Threepenny Opera, The Wild Party, Caligula) as Edna Purviance; Michael Farina (Seussical, In My Life, My Fair Lady) as Fred Karno and Attorney General, James McGranery; Joel Hurt Jones as Mack Sennett; (Robert Langdon-Lloyd (RSC, Amadeus) as Older Charlie and Sean Palmer (The Boyfriend, Fosse, Saturday Night Fever) as Charlie’s brother, Sydney.
